The Box Lacrosse Roundup: May 27

The Box Lacrosse Roundup

It was an eventful weekend around the country with every major league up and running. In the interest of space, we are going to adjust the Box Lacrosse Roundup slightly. Instead of including every score in the body of the email, we are going to use some dedicated landing pages for each province.

Also, we wanted to update the timing of this newsletter. It will be released every Monday and Friday at noon EST. As always, interested readers can sign up for the newsletter on our homepage www.lacrosseculturedaily.com and on any of the landing pages.

Let’s get right into it.

Ontario

The story of the weekend in Ontario were the back to back Overtime victories for the Six Nations Arrows. Now at 3-0, the Arrows appear to be a challenger in the OJLL this season.

The other story were some of the massive individual performances we saw this weekend. Willem Firth (Beaches), Finn Thomson (Mimico), Will Macleod (Burlington), and Joey Spallina (Orangeville) all had individual games with ten or more points.

The full Ontario recap can be found below.

British Columbia

The Nanaimo Timbermen remained the story of the season in the BCJALL, remaining undefeated at 5-0. They picked up another win on the weekend as goals were certainly harder to come by out west than they were in Ontario.
