West Coast Goaltenders Dominate a Big Weekend in Box Lacrosse
The Box Lacrosse Roundup
While big scoring efforts defined the early season in the OJLL, it was the goaltenders out west that stole the show this weekend.
Coquitlam’s Jack Kask posted a shutout in their BCJALL victory over Nanaimo. You may have seen Coquitlam legend Christian Del Bianco giving some props.
It wasn’t the only dominating performance though. Victoria Jr. A netminder Angus Snow held the Langley Thunder to just 5 goals in a 6-5 victory, while Justin Geddie stood on his head for Nanaimo Sr. A, also winning 6-5 over the Maple Ridge Burrards.
Out east, Friday night featured a big clash between two of the best clubs in the OJLL between Mimico and Orangeville. LCD’s Jon Donville called the game for the OJLL. Check out his new series called A Couple Things below, which features some thoughts from the game.

Mimico picked up two big victories to remain unbeaten, while KW earned another victory to climb out of the basement.

The Port Coquitlam Saints were the story of the weekend out-west, securing two massive BCJALL victories. They won by a combined 21-10 in the two games, and look to be a real threat this summer.
