Dawick, Richmond, and Harwood are The Three Stars, While Whitby Makes Their Run
This week, we unveil a new Friday segment on The Box Lacrosse Roundup, which will feature three stars from the week in Canadian lacrosse.
Each week, the three stars will be composed of at least one player from outside Ontario, and one player from Sr. lacrosse.
This week the three stars are the following:
โญ: Josh Dawick, Oakville Rock Sr. A. 2 GP, 3 Goals, 15 Assists
โญโญ: Silas Richmond, Delta Islanders Jr. A. 1 GP, 6 Goals, 1 Assist
โญโญโญ: Ethan Harwood, Goaltender for Whitby Warriors Jr. A. 2 Wins, 11 combined goals against. Held the Mimico Mountaineers to 3 goals.
And the honourable mention goes to Nolan Byrne of the Jr. A Brampton Excelsiors, who had 5 goals and 5 assists in a big victory for the Excelsiors over Six Nations.

Nobody (besides Toronto) had a better week than the Whitby Warriors. They humbled the Mimico Mountaineers and held them to just 3 goals on Tuesday, then grinded out a 9-8 win over St. Catharines the next night.
The Warriors return several players from their Minto Cup title, including Lucas Littlejohn, Gabe Sorichetti, Jake Darlison, and Jack Oldman. That experience will only get more valuable as the summer progresses. The aforementioned Harwood has been outstanding.
LCD featured coverage of two OJLL games this week. Check out the continuing series called A Couple Things, which features some takeaways from the games.

The aforementioned Richmond was the star this week, but it was a quiet one out west with just a few Jr. games and one Sr. A game.
If the name sounds familiar, it should. Richmond led the Albany Great Danes to the NCAA tournament and a respectable score against the powerhouse Notre Dame Fighting Irish. The Sophomore exploded with 73 points and was one of the most productive Canadians in the NCAA. Listed at 6’4, his blend of size and skill sets him apart.
On LCD this week, we continued our series of WLA previews with the respective head coaches of the team. Our own Jake Elliott hosted the Lacrosse Classified Podcast with Burnaby Lakers Head Coach Todd Stockdale.

There was one rare mid-week game this week in the RMLL, with the Raiders defeating the Mounties by a score of 5-3. Unfortunately, the details of that game have still not been finalized on the RMLL website.
