The Box Lacrosse Roundup: May 31

As the calendar flips to June, the box lacrosse action around Canada will really start to heat up. Most teams have all of their players back from US colleges, and the standings will start to mean more as the games played even out.

Speaking of, a great game is taking place Friday night in Orangeville, as the Mimico Mountaineers visit Tony Rose Arena. LCD’s Jon Donville will be on the broadcast on Youtube for the OJLL. A link to that stream can be found here.

For those looking for some reading before the weekend, check out this story on Paige Murphy, a freshman from Calgary who scored a remarkable 113 goals this year in the NCAA. That can be found below.

While the story of the last newsletter was the huge offensive performances by teams across the league, the defenders and goaltenders stole the show this week.

Lastly, KW stabilized after a difficult start to the season with a huge win over Six Nations.
