On today’s episode, the boys sit down with Shonly Wallace, the first female scout in NLL history. We chat about how she got set up with the Firewolves, her lacrosse journey coaching and playing, and her thoughts on the women’s game in general.

As she explains in the episode, a 12 year old Shonly Wallace dreamed of working in the NLL one day, as crazy as it sounded. Two decades later, after many twists and turns in her playing career, Shonly made it onto the staff. Where can she go from here? Nobody knows, but the Back of the Bird crew certainly won’t doubt her.

We also wanted to include an important effort going on in the lacrosse world. Buffalo’s Ian Mackay recently shared that his step-father is in need of medical care that is not covered in Canada.
