This week on the OTCB Podcast we get tuned up for the NLL’s return to Ottawa with ‘The Gremlin,” Nate Grenon.

As a local guy, Nate Grenon has been working hard to create the buzz around town to ensure the Black Bears have a successful first season in town. It doesn’t hurt that the Black Bears had an uber-intense training camp.

With 92 points in three NLL seasons, Grenon’s contributions are more significant than the stats may suggest. A rugged off-ball player and locker room favourite, the former first-round pick will be playing for his third team in four seasons. But he was part of the Firewolves run to the finals last season, and had a nice year scoring 12 goals and 18 assists in 15 regular season games.

Now in Ottawa, he will look to open up space for gifted feeders like Jeff Teat and Reilly O’Connor. When you add in Larson Sundown, that may just be the best left-side in lacrosse.

You may have heard Nate recently on television when he made a cameo on TSN during the intermission of a Senators game in Ottawa. In typical lacrosse player fashion, Grenon had a freshly stitched chin during the interview.

We’ll get you primed for week 1, give you our way-too early year end award winners and your first chance of the season to win with the CoolBet Polar Bears.

All that and more on this week’s OTCB.
