The NLL announced the results of the PCLC dispersal draft yesterday, as 30 players found new teams.

Will Malcom went first in the draft after scoring 104 points last season and dominating the WLA this summer. He will also be playing for the Victoria Shamrocks at the upcoming Mann Cup.

Jon Donville, Nick Damude, Ryan Sheridan, and Mathieu Gautier rounded out the top five. The full results are below.

Three trades were executed during the draft as well. The first saw the Calgary Roughnecks trade Seth Van Schepen to the Georgia Swarm in return for the 10th pick, which Calagry subsequently used on goaltender Cam MacLeod.

The second trade saw the Albany Firewolves trade the 13th overall selection to the Ottawa Black Bears in return for goaltender Will Johnston. The Firewolves traded backup Justin Geddie to Las Vegas in the offseason, so Johnston will be the primary backup behind superstar Doug Jamieson.

And the Buffalo Bandits traded their 14th selection to the Philadelphia Wings in return for a second round selection in the 2025 NLL entry draft. Buffalo and Georgia were the only teams to not make a selection in the draft.

In addition to current PCLC players, teams were able to select PCLC draft picks as well. Justin Sykes, Justin Morgan, Colin Sharkey, Mike Sisselberger, and Tim Manning were all 2023 draft picks by PCLC who returned to the NCAA for their fifth years of competition.

Sykes was the highest pick of that group in both the dispersal and the 2023 draft. He was selected 11th yesterday by San Diego in the dispersal. Last year, he was the 21st overall selection by PCLC before returning for a final year at Hofstra.

The draft was the first dispersal for the NLL since the Boston Blazers folded after the 2011 season.

Yesterday also began the NLL’s Free Agency period. LCD’s Evan Schemenauer previewed both the draft and free agency, check that preview out here!
