Shamrocks and Chiefs Remain Undefeated as Calendar Turns to August
The calendar flipped to August this week, which means only one thing in Canadian lacrosse. It’s championship time.
The final series are underway in all three Junior A leagues, and the race for the Mann Cup is down to just eight teams.
Speaking of the Mann Cup, it has been a summer of dominance on either coast. Victoria finished off a perfect regular season in the WLA, ending with a +71 goal differential. Meanwhile the Six Nations Chiefs remain undefeated in Ontario, now pushing their goal differential to +88.
It is the first time that a team has gone undefeated in the history of the WLA. This obviously makes it also the first time in history that a team in both leagues has gone undefeated in the same year.

This week the three stars are the following:

โญโญ: Ryan Jones, Maple Ridge Burrards Sr. A. 2 GP, 3 Goals, 9 Assists to secure playoff birth.
โญโญโญ: Bowie Horsman, Orangeville Northmen Jr. A. Hat-trick in game one against Mimico including the game winning goal.
