The NCAA lacrosse season is rolling on and so are the Canadians are dominating the games… and the postgames.

We start today with the 5-goal games from Alex Marinier (Burlington, Ontario) and Carter Quested (Victoria, British Columbia). Marinier scored his handful against the Denver Pioneers, as Ohio State remains the hottest team in the country. Now up to 9th in the poll, the Buckeyes have relied on the shooting of their big righty. Marinier now has 29 goals and is second in the nation in that category.

Quested competes for Mount St. Mary’s and had his 5-goal game in a loss to Manhattan. It was a career high for the young freshman, who also added an assist and is now up to 22 points through his first eight college games.

Canisius midfielder Jordan Reed (Coquitlam, British Columbia) had a big week as well, finishing with 7 goals in a pair of games against St. Bonaventure and Merrimack. He is shooting an absurd 39% on the season, and is one of the most efficient players you will find, especially from the midfield.

Reed’s play was strong enough to earn himself an ice cream drumstick from coach Mark Miyashita after the game (also a Canadian).

… who doesn’t love a good stick…

Sticks are unbelievable.

Denver’s Noah Manning (Victoria) had his best game of the season for the Pios, finishing with 3 goals and 2 assists. That was the reverse stat line of both Charlie McFadden (Edmonton, Alberta) from Fairfield and Ryan Favaro (Coquitlam) at Colgate, who both finished with 2 goals and 3 assists.

Max Semple (Coquitlam) continued his strong play this season with 4 more goals for the Drexel Dragons, while Lucas Littlejohn (Courtice, Ontario) added his fourth hat-trick of the season in a crushing double overtime loss to Duke.

In Ithaca, Cornell midfielder Willem Firth (Nepean, Ontario) had 2 goals and 2 assists as the Big Red secured a massive victory over the highly ranked Princeton Tigers.

Defensively, Levi Verch (Victoria) stuffed the stat sheet yet again, with a goal, assist, 7 loose balls and a caused turnover. He will likely be the highest Canadian selected in the PLL entry draft later this spring and has been incredible this season for the Hawks.

At the faceoff X, Jack Oldman (Pickering, Ontario) continued his strong play this season, winning 54% of his 28 draws and scooping 12 loose balls. Meanwhile Robert Morris faceoff athlete Bo Columbus (Fergus, Ontario) won 60% of his faceoffs against Penn State and Detroit Mercy, picking up 10 loose balls along the way.
