It was another good weekend of action for the 2025 rookie class in the NLL, with the class as a whole contributing 7 goals, 15 assists, 71 loose balls, and 5 caused turnovers.

Dyson Williams again led the scoring for the class with a hat-trick in Albany’s loss to the Rochester Knighthawks on Friday. He had three powerplay goals to go along with an assist as his stretch of hot play continues. He now leads all rookies in scoring with 44 points in 12 games.

Strong games were also turned in by Graydon Hogg and Brock Haley, who each had 3 points. Hogg had a goal and 2 assists, while Haley added 3 helpers.

Will Johansen of Albany had arguably the best weekend of any rookie however, with a goal, assist, 9 loose balls, and 3 caused turnovers. He was absolutely everywhere, albeit in a losing effort for the Wolves.

Josh Zawada made his re-entrance to the lineup in Saskatchewan and opened the scoring against the Bandits. It was his first game since December 28, filling in for the missing Robert Church.

Mike Robinson and Toron Eccleston both added 2 assists for their clubs, and Jake Piseno got back in the scoring column for the second time this season as he continues to establish himself as an NLL regular with the Knighthawks.

At the faceoff dot, Jake Naso won 11 of 20 against Connor Farrell and the Bandits, while Mike Sisselberger battled admirably against Joe Nardella. Sisselberger won 11 of his 25 attempts in the win for Rochester. Rochester is 5-2 with him in the lineup, as he has made an immediate and significant impact on their fortunes.

Defenders Jacob Hickey (Georgia), Taylor Dooley (Buffalo) and Jake Stevens (Ottawa) all were credited with a blocked shot this week as well, contributing in multiple ways all over the floor.
