Several NLL franchises announced the schedule for their home openers on Thursday, marking the first official schedule release of the year.
The league also announced in a tweet that the entire schedule will be released on September 17th, two days after the NLL draft.
Opening night of the 2024-2025 season will take place on Friday, November 29th. First, the Toronto Rock will take on their new provincial rival, competing in the inaugural game for the Ottawa Black Bears at the Canadian Tire Center.
Then later that evening, the Colorado Mammoth will host the Vancouver Warriors. No television broadcast schedule has been released for these two games yet.
On Saturday November 30th, the Vegas Desert Dogs will head to Blue Cross Arena to take on the Knighthawks, while the Saskatchewan Rush will head to Albany.
Then Sunday, December 1st, the San Diego Seals will take on the Philadelphia Wings at 2 PM at Pechanga Arena.
The rest of the home openers past opening weekend are the following:
- December 7th: San Diego Seals @ Georgia Swarm
- December 7th: Calgary Roughnecks @ Halifax Thunderbirds
- December 7th: Albany Firewolves @ Toronto Rock
- December 13th: Rochester Knighthawks @ Vancouver Warriors
- December 28th: Vancouver Warriors @ Calgary Roughnecks
- December 28th: Rochester Knighthawks @ Buffalo Bandits
At the time of original writing, the Saskatchewan Rush and Philadelphia Wings have yet to announce their home opener schedules.
The opening weekend will be the fist time the league has played games in November since 2019, when the league began play on November 29th. As recently as 2017, the league did not kick off until December 29th, so the timeline has shifted significantly in recent years.
