The Elora Mohawks won the 2024 Founders Cup on Sunday, with a 10-1 victory over the Hamilton Mac-Klean Bengals. The game was played at the Dave Andreychuk Mountain Arena in Hamilton.
The title is the franchise’s sixth Founders Cup title, and the first since 2018. They previously won the Cup in 1967, 1968, 1975, 2005, and 2018. They are one of the most winningest programs in the tournament’s history.
The Founders title finishes a dominant season for Elora. After a 17-2-1 regular season, the team went a perfect 12-0 and did not lose in the Founders Cup. Their last loss came back on May 17, meaning that they went undefeated for nearly three months.
Elora was led by 4 points in the game from Brinley Wilson, including a goal in the first minute of the contest. Wilson had a remarkable summer, leading the circuit with 146 points in 20 games during the regular season. He added 65 more points in 12 OJBLL playoff games.

Wilson was named the West Division MVP this year, while goaltenders Sam Forbes and Carter Billings allowed the fewest goals in the West division.
Evan McDougall led the scoring for Elora in the tournament, scoring 9 goals and 11 assists in five contests. Onondaga’s Jameson Bucktooth led the tournament scoring with 23 points.
Elora beat the Victoria Shamrocks 12-7 to advance to the finals, and also got victories over the Nova Scotia Privateers, Onondaga Redhawks, and Mountainview Mavericks. Elora finished the tournament with 59 goals for and just 16 goals against across their five games.
While Elora became the story of the tournament, the early storyline was the victory by the Saint John Rapids over the Victoria Shamrocks. Backed by the strong play of goaltender Logan Fletcher, the Rapids picked up a rare victory by a Maritimes team.
